Rosey's BBQ - Jenkintown, PA
http://www.roseysbbq.com/
For dinner today Erin, Bubba and I went over for a quick bite to eat at a fairly new establishment called Rosey's BBQ. According to our waitress, Jarvis brought up true Memphis BBQ to the area and went into partners with Chad (from Ambler). It was delicious, cheap and fast! The brisket was tender and sweet and the loaded fries were too good. You can bring your own....this important to know because the website makes reference to beer, but there is none to be found as they don't have a liquor license. Definitely go - Erin liked it so it gets a vote from a kid, too. I think they even have chicken fingers in the event you have an incredibly finicky kid. By the way - we didn't have the red velvet cupcakes.....we let the gluttony go by the wayside for the time being.

Capital Grill - First Post!
Last night we ate at the Capital Grill in Philadelphia. http://www.thecapitalgrille.com/Locations/Philadelphia/Main.asp
It was Bubba's birthday and we were excited to go and celebrate. The night was much chillier than I had anticipated - stopped into the Banana Republic across the street to try and buy a schmatta for warmth and decided against a $65 cover up for one night - I suffered through. We get in and decide to have a drink at the bar where Bubba runs into a former student who he coached in wrestling and football. This is not an uncommon connection Bubba seems to find wherever he goes, but we were not at all prepared for how much this kid (I don't know why I am calling him a kid...) was going to go above and beyond to show Bubba how much he's missed him over the years.
We sat at a big booth on the other side of the bar. Let me just say, the Capital is for men; not just because it's a steak house. Women like steak, too, we just might want to be served it without dead animal heads hanging over our heads. The Capital is the epitome of food fueled with the testosterone of businees men. That said, our food was excellent. Brian and Nicola sent over friend calamari, a round of drinks and incredible desserts. This was far too kind and generous of them. Thank you, both!
It is well prepared food with fresh, high end ingredients. I said it in the video and I'll say it again, for $45 an entree you really can't throw in a starch and a vegetable?!?!? In the end it didn't matter - this was Bubba's pick for his birthday and it was a great night....that's all that counts.
